Gigi Sosa is an eclectic traditional artist. Originally from Mexico, they were brought to the U.S. when they were very young. Life in the U.S. has not always been a walk on the beach; Gigi has endured a lifetime of abuse and trauma. Because of this, they struggle with mental health issues; but this has never stopped them. Art has been a lifeline that has allowed them to take the darkest parts of them and turn them into something beautiful. It is an escape that allows Gigi to feel true freedom. Gigi hopes to one day become a middle school art teacher who will make an impact on the lives of future students. In this current season of life, Gigi is becoming the alchemist they were meant to be and continuing to heal each and every day.
