About the Artist
Avisto Studio is a program designed for individuals with Dementia and their caregivers. Our goal through this program is for individuals to experience the value and impact that art can have on overall health and wellbeing. Our program is designed to accommodate all artistic abilities, and to remove the inhibition that individuals may have when they think of art making or ‘being an artist.’ Avisto Studio helps individuals to tap into the creative right side of the brain, which not only supports overall brain health, but also reduces stress and increases positive social interaction and self-esteem.
