Mary Stockton

I grew up learning to crochet and knit from my grandma and mom and learned to do counted cross-stitch from my sister. I have crocheted afghans, washcloths, coasters, and scarves. Since coming to the Hart Gallery, I have also learned painting with acrylic paints and to make jewelry, as well as photography, something I had studied previously in college. I enjoy being able to use my creativity to "pay it forward," and I do this through coaching others in crocheting and budgeting. I am starting to offer more coaching lessons to help others learn those skills with a goal in starting their own business and other entrepreneurial ventures in order to be self-sufficient. I am so grateful that those at the Hart Gallery allow me to work with them and give me a chance to learn new skills. Most of all, I would like to thank God for giving me the skills, talents, and abilities I have, and for His glory to love and serve Him and others.
