I have always had a love for the outdoors, and my father played a big part in showing me that beauty is in the nature of our Earth and ourselves. I have lived in the Chattanooga area for 35 years and have grown to love these mountains and valleys; my wild heart is right at home in the stillness of these woods. In 2021 I had a mountain bike crash that resulted in a severe spinal cord injury, and my life was turned upside down as I struggled with walking, writing, and living. Finally, I started on my path to healing through surgery, the love of friends and family, and a wonderful dog named Harley. It has been through art, poetry, and lots of walks in the woods, that I have found my heart open to a new beginning.
