Michael Bowlby is a member of the AIM Center and has worked the back desk for years, spending every spare moment drawing and sketching in pencil. He has a special interest in landscapes – drawings from Nature. Michael is a self-taught artist, a rare and beautiful thing, and had progressed very far in creating lovely scenes from his imagination before coming to the AIM Center’s fine art studio. There, his goal was to start using color and paint in his art. With a quick shading lesson and some basic color instruction, his landscapes have become even better. The naïve quality is still there, along with his new understanding of light and color blending.
